the beauty of interstellar.

i watched interstellar today and i just want to talk about how magnificent the work is. firstly, let's take in the fact that this movie was made in 2014. 2014??? like iphone 4 came out (i think) but, the level of vfx was so good in the movie imagine what it could've done with 2022 vfx (or even earlier like 2019). 

before i can explain the beauty of the movie, i have to explain the plot. basically a very basic sci-fi plot: earth is dying, find a new home, save humans. but the movie isn't just about that. it was also about love and familial relationships and hope and hopelessness. like the way christopher nolan thought of this is mindblowing omg.

so yes, it's set in space. so the background/setting will be in space and it is so so so unnerving to see the small spaceship compared to saturn or a huge wave. like it just shows how small we are in comparison to this huge universe. and i'd actually do ANYTHING to experience the movie in theatres instead of on my laptop screen. 

another thing, is the score. hans 👏 zimmer 👏 you are a mastermind in film music omg. how can a piece be filled with so much emotions: hope but sadness but also, love. like how?? without it, the film would literally fall flat. the music sounds exactly like how space would sound like i don't know how to explain but wow.

not only that, but the story. i said it was about love and it made me SOB. it's not your usual romantic love, which could've been the route taken but no. it's familial love. it's heartbreaking, soul-crushing and just everything you need in a story. UGH IM SO IN PAIN

please watch this movie. there's a reason it's rated so highly. please please please watch it. (however, i can't guarantee that you'll 100% like this movie because it's sci-fi and like it deals with space and time and dimensions but good luck)
